meet the purrfurred team

Purrfurred Pet Sitters is more than a job. It’s a calling. We are passionate about the pets we care for, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

Harold Allen, Jr.
Founder/Owner

I consistently had dogs growing up. I Currently have two white labs, Sophia and Brusier, a Chow Chow named Bakari and a Jack Russell named Oscar. They all have their own personalities. I swear my dogs and I have our own language, I know exactly what each of them wants by different noises they make. Since founding Purrfurred Pet Sitters in 2009, I can’t imagine working any other job. What I and my Team do best is “Exceeding Pet Parent Expectations.”

Elsie Danielsson
Pet Care Specialist

“My favorite part of the walks is having the opportunity to interact with the kids and share in their contagious enthusiasm for life. It brightens my day as much as it enriches theirs,” says Elsie, a lifetime animal lover. She tries to keep each visit fresh and engaging by being attentive to the dog’s behavior and keeping the routes from becoming too familiar. About Purrfurred Pet Sitters she says, “I can’t believe I get to do this every day. It’s not a job; it’s an absolute joy!”

Bill Mattox
Pet Care Specialist

Hi there – I’m Bill Mattox. I am a recent transplant from Minneapolis to Palm Springs, though I’ve had a home here for 7 years. I am delighted to live full-time in this beautiful place. It’s fun to explore new options at this point in life and one of these is to dedicate time and energy to the good care of much loved pets.

When I was growing up in Atlanta, there were always cats and dogs around the house. From a teacup Chihuahua, named Ricky, to Magnolia (“Maggie”, for short, was another Chihuahua) who lived with us for 18 years, my love of cats and dogs has been a constant in my life. I’ve had a special soft spot for rescue animals, the most recent of whom was a 14 pound male tabby, named Trygve. His best friend was another big boy tabby, Oskar.

Our pets become family and are such blessings in our lives.

Bart’s always loved spending time around animals. He grew up having pets, and since he doesn’t currently have one of his own he’s thrilled he gets to hang out with some fantastic critters every day. Bart really enjoys getting to know each pet he meets, and can’t believe he actually gets paid to do that!

Ellie Sell
Pet Care Specialist

Hello, I’m Ellie Sell and I am new to Palm Springs via Irvine, via NY. My husband and I really enjoy the Palm Springs vibe. The scenic view we share with our pets is so peaceful and the weather is great.

My life has always been filled with Dogs and Cats…..and kids. But now that the kids are grown we like to foster Pets from the PS Animal Shelter.

In Newport Beach / Irvine I house-sat for my clients while they traveled, and while the were away the dogs and I would have fun and play.

Now that I am with Purrfurred Pet Sitters I do hope that I can meet you and your beloved pets very soon.
